FFF Closing Ceremony

On Sunday January 20th, Future Film Festival will say good-bye to the audience of its tenth edition by one of the most expected special events: the Italian premiere of the film The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep by Jay Russell, with special effects from the new zealander production company Weta Digital (h 7,30 pm - Sunday January 20th – Cinema Teatro Manzoni).
Since 2002, the society founded by Peter Jackon has attended Future Film Festival many times, by presenting the making of the tree episodes of The Lord of the Rings and of the subsequent King Kong.
The main character of the new production is an astonishing marine monster completely realized in 3D. This special event of FFF will be accompanied by the extraordinary presence of Matt Aitknen, VFX Supervisor of Weta Digital, who will meet the audience to present the making and the off-stage of the film. After watching the documentary 8 Bit: A Documentary about Art and Videogames c/o Cinema Teatro Manzoni at 5 o’clock pm, you can relax listening to the music of two of the protagonists of 8 bit-micromusic.

Random started composing music with Game Boys in 2004. Then, Random has worked with Little Sound DJand has performed live in Sweden, Holland, Belgium and the US, and got involved with the Microdisko, one of the most important pubs in Europe. At Future Film Festival Random will perform for the first time in Italy.

NRGiga ’s music career started in 1997, as the guitarist in a noise-experimental band. In 2004 he developed an interest in digital music composition, and focused on non-conventional software such as Nanoloop and LSDj, experimenting on lo-resolution music. NrGiGa is among the contributors to the compilation Bit Beat 2007, the first dedicated to the Italian 8-bit movement and he has been a member of MicroBo_HQ of Bologna, since 2006.
