In 1855, at the eve of the out break of Crimea War, George Sauerwein, a young and brilliant linguist, is called to Germanic court to be the Princess Elizabeth of Wied’s guardian. They fall in love each other, but the difference of class prevent them to achieve their dream and George is removed from the court.

They will stay in touch for all of the life, inspiring each other to fight for the peace, for the culture, for the right of the minority to express in their own mothertongue.

Produced by the acclaimed Fumi Studio, Embla Film and Fralita Film, the movie is realizzed with the ancient tecnique of the rotoscope and it is an excited celebration of the freedom to love and living in order to the own nature.

Anne Magnussen

Anne Magnussen, expert photographer and director, comes from the Norvegian Film School obtaining big recognitions. She worked on many TV productions and her documentary activity made her famous for the big contribution to the orphans and the teenagers wrecked by the addictions. Habitual journeys among England, France and Baltic States made international contacts for her possible with many co-producers.
