Past, Present and Future of VR Design

This workshop intends to make an excursus on VR, from his explotion in the consumer market, to today’s situation and future perspectives. Available solutions of immersive development will be discussed, like the more and more creative and ergonomic VR Editor by Unreal Engine, of which pros and cons of its use will be analyzed. Examples with HTC Vive will be shown.

Workshop by Saverio Iacono Research Fellow - Università degli Studi di Genova, Genova (Italia) – at the DIBRIS (Informatic, Bioengineering, Robotics and System’s Engineering Department), for the studying and planning of web/mobile/ gaming applications which allow the fruition of immerisive experiences in 360/3D in virtual reality throught HMD viewer.

Suggested but not mandatory knowledge of animation or game design softwares (like Maya, Unreal, Blender etc)
