Lisa Limone & Maroc Orange, A Rapid Love Story 3D

by Mait Laas – Estonia, 2014

(72', DCP, Original version with Italian subtitles)

Lemon-girl Lisa collects singing seashells and dreams about love. Her father is a rich businessman, the owner of a tomato plantation and ketchup factory, and he loves money. Orange boy Maroc is a boat refugee. He dreams of freedom. He escapes from his homeland and defying stormy waters takes a boat across the sea to the "promised land". Instead of freedom, he finds slave labour on a tomato plantation. It seems, however, that his fate could change. Lisa falls in love with him and will do anything to set him free. A film for all the family, dealing with the topic of illegal immigrants fleeing from Africa to Europe.
