Joe Letteri and the Making of Avatar

 

One of the most expected event of the Future Film Festival 12fth edition will be the “Keynote Speech” by Joe Letteri, Visual Effects Supervisor of Avatar and Director of Weta Digital, who will introduce in world preview the making of  the amazing last film by James Cameron.

Regione Animata – Project Award

Future Film Festival introduces in sneak preview the results of Projects Award, the contest made in partnership with the Regione Animata network, assisted by Emilia-Romagna Film Commission. Thanks to the support of the Regione Emilia-Romagna - Assessorato alla Cultura e alla Presidenza del Consiglio dei Ministri - POGAS, in 2007 FFF has in fact promoted the first contest for animators and emergent artists of Emilia-Romagna to make short films or tv series. Just in these months the four winners have worked for the making of their work. The accomplished works of Luca Pinciani, Federico Guidi, Andrea Nadalini and Ettore Tomas will be introduced in sneak preview during the Future Film Festival twelfth edition in a special event, up to the presence of the Culture Alderman of Regione Emilia-Romagna, Alberto Ronchi.

Videogames & Cinema: compared business model

Riccardo Cangini, founder of Artematica, will meet the Future Film Festival audience to talk about the new possibilities offered to the interaction between cinema and videogame by the new platform as iPhone or the ondine channels for Playstation and Xbox. By Jaime Di Alexander

Canuck Animation

Canada is the guest country of Future Film Festival 2010 edition, with focus on the contemporary animation, meetings with researchers and authors and B2B area for firms of the sector. In partnership with Regione Emilia-Romagna Assessorato alle Attività Produttive.

Future Film Festival introduce a selection of the best animation videoclip of the last season, in the presents of the directors. Special guests, the Stadio.

Waking Sleeping Beauty

Crossroads

Meeting with Claudio Sinatti, author of advertising and visual avantguard works, video installations and interactive spaces. Among his last products stand out multimedial coreography reproduced on Milan’s Cathedral facade on last September, in range of the “Milan loves fashion” event which has started the fashion week. Luca Vaglio is the coordinator.
